DAISY Award: 2020
Congratulations to our 2020 DAISY Foundation Award Winners! The term DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune SYstem. The DAISY Foundation was formed in November 1999 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died at age 33 of complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). The nursing care Patrick received when hospitalized profoundly touched his family, and through the generosity of the Barnes family the DAISY Award was created to honor extraordinary nursing faculty and students around the world. Please view these PowerPoint presentations that include our award winners, listen to the audio presentation on slide 2, and read more about the DAISY Foundation.
