Our office is also provides support for faculty and programming throughout the college. Student Services personnel are responsible for tasks such as making room reservations and assisting faculty with registration preparations related to nursing course and section planning.

Student Advising Center

The College of Nursing Student Advising Center, located in 2150 Health Sciences Building, serves intended and declared nursing majors, transfer students, and accelerated second-degree BSN nursing students.

Our mission is to support students by partnering with academic departments and student support services to promote diverse educational experiences and to foster professional success and responsible citizenship. We believe that academic advising is a process that supports students as they clarify their life goals and make choices regarding educational programs that will help them to realize these goals.

Students are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor as often as possible to establish free and open lines of communication. Advisors are interested in becoming acquainted with students as individuals, in addition to assisting with academic questions on topics such as:

  • Registration
  • Course drop and add procedures
  • Withdrawals
  • Graduation requirements
