Dear Alumni and Friends of the College,

First, thank you for the stories of courage in the face of this pandemic you have shared with me.

Many have permitted the sharing of those stories as Pirate Nurses have skillfully and compassionately worked in the face of come what may! This pandemic has required undaunted courage, and you have delivered.

One of the silver linings has been being able to reach many of you whom I could not reach previously. Call me anytime you are free as I would love to hear how you are doing!

What a “Year of the Nurse” this has turned out to be! We look forward to celebrating it once it is behind us and hopefully COVID-19 will at that point be behind us as well.

This Fall the College of Nursing turns 60 with many special celebrations about which you will continue to hear more. Virtual reunion groups will be hosted by Terah Archie, Director of Leadership Annual Giving, or myself leading up to the Coast-To-Coast Toast during Nursing’s Homecoming Celebration.

Send me your questions at any point along the way.

During this pandemic your private support to the Nursing Emergency Needs Fund has been so helpful to future nurses. Thank you for remembering how challenging finances for nursing students can be even during normal times, and this has been far from that.

Whether you wish to make a large or small gift to someone else’s endowed fund by check or online, a gift to a non-endowed fund, gift appreciated stock, or include the College of Nursing in your will, let’s talk first to make sure your gift is going to the Nursing fund you want to support, 919-330-6603.

And remember, you can make your gift in honor or memory of someone as well. Thank you!

Lead On, Pirate Nurses, Lead On,
Elizabeth
