Dr. Ingram has 26 years of experience as a nurse. She has a BSN from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a master’s degree in Acute Care Leadership from East Carolina University in 2010. She graduated in 2018 with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice as a Nurse Executive from Old Dominion University. She has her certification as a Nurse Executive. Outside of nursing, she holds a diploma in Funeral Services Education from Fayetteville Tech. Her professional interests are leadership development, sharing knowledge and advancing innovation. She has been a nurse leader for 16years in various roles. For the past 71/2 years, she has been employed with the Cone Health System on the Moses Cone Campus as a Director. Some of the leadership roles held at Cone Health include the following: Director of 3 South/ 4 East Step-Downs, Interim Director of Pediatrics and PICU, Interim Co-Director of CVICU, and Director of 2 Central, Cardiac Interventional Progressive Care Unit. Her current is role is system-wide Director eLink teleICU and Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD). Her most recent success with Cone Health is being Co-Lead in the design of and Executive Nurse Leadership Academy (ENLA) which graduated its first cohort on July 22, 2022 and celebrates 100% of its participants, have been promoted in leadership since starting in May 2021 .
Dr. Ingram has served as Triad Region Director for North Carolina Nurses Association 2016 – 2019, continued board service from 2019-2021 President-elect and was recently inducted as President in September 2021. She is a member of American Nurses Association, North Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders, Gamma Zeta Sigma Theta Tau where she served on the board and as Leadership Succession Chair, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, American Organization of Nurse Executives and Cone Health’s networking group B.A.H.N.G, which stands for Black and African American Health Networking Group where the focus in on raising awareness about health issues impacting our culture, connecting with the community and providing education. Recently Dr. Ingram was selected by the American Nurses Association as the First Alternate on the policy committee for the term 1/1/23- 12/31/23. She is a proud graduate of the 2015 Leadership Academy of NCNA. Dr. EL is engaged to Anthony Ingram and will be married on September 24th. She has one son Tre’, daughter Cala, a bonus daughter Maddie, and a granddaughter Ah’Liyah. In her spare time, she spends time with her family and lives life to the fullest by enjoying every moment.
