Caroline Lanier
Clinical Instructor
Caroline Lanier graduated from Lenoir Community College in 2016 with her ADN. As a RIBN student, she went on to graduate with her BSN from ECU in 2017. She started working as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at UNC Lenoir Healthcare in August of 2016. In the Emergency Department, she developed her passion for teaching through precepting students from various nursing programs. She started teaching clinicals with ECU CON in January of 2020 as a Clinical Education Partner. During this time, she continued working at the bedside in the Ambulatory Care Unit at UNC Lenoir. She graduated with her MSN in Nursing Education from UNCW in 2021. In August of 2022, she started teaching full-time with ECU CON. She remains active at the bedside by helping in various departments at the UNC Lenoir including wound care, day surgery, and cardiac rehab. Her favorite aspect of teaching is developing lasting and meaningful relationships with students. She hopes to not only educate students in their clinical skill but also teach compassionate, patient-oriented care. She lives in Kinston, NC with her husband, Garrett, and is an active member in her church, Grace Fellowship. She enjoys working out and being outside whether to garden, hike, or walk her dogs.
