Makenze Caldwell: DNP Spotlight
I am grateful to be selected as the student representative for the BSN to DNP class. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know & collaborate with you all this year!
I obtained my undergraduate degree in Nursing from East Carolina University and I am blessed to continue my education at ECU in the BSN-DNP program, Family Nurse Practitioner concentration. I am a RURAL Scholar and my professional interests are working with rural & underserved populations as well as women’s health. I look forward to serving in a rural area after graduation & my ultimate dream is to provide care through mission work.
My husband and I live in Wake Forest, NC and enjoy camping, hiking, traveling, and spending time at the beach. My next adventure will be to visit Ireland as it is on my bucket list. I have two black labs named Bodie & Buxton who enjoy being outdoors as much as possible.
I am honored to serve in this role and I look forward to learning together on this journey. My hope is to create a sense of community where we can discuss, learn, and support one another. I encourage you all to reach out with any concerns, thoughts, and ideas for discussion.
