About Us

A collaboratory is a center without walls where investigators interact with one another, share ideas and create partnerships. The ECU College of Nursing Collaboratory was established in 2024 for the purposes of enhancing collaboration among Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)-prepared and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)-prepared scholars and students to strengthen the design, implementation, and translation of socio-structural research broadly into practice in eastern North Carolina and beyond.

Mission of The Collaboratory

To further the mission of the ECU College of Nursing by bringing together doctorally prepared nursing scholars and students dedicated to reimagining how we educate the health professions workforce and transform the health of rural underserved regions by addressing the socio-structural drivers of health through research.
