Lamp of Learning Ceremony

The College of Nursing hosts its Lamp of Learning Ceremony for new BSN students at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.

The Lamp of Learning Ceremony introduces new nursing students to the profession and serves as their official welcome into the College of Nursing. Each student in attendance receives a pin, a time-honored tradition that symbolizes their commitment to nursing.

Please join a livestream (College of Nursing Lamp of Learning Ceremony) of the College of Nursing’s Lamp of Learning ceremony Thursday, Aug. 29 beginning at 10:30 am as we formally induct our first semester students into the nursing profession.

The Lamp of Learning ceremony is a formal recognition of the dedication that our nursing students have made to their education and the health outcomes of their future patients, as well as a way for our faculty to rededicate themselves to the success of the students they will teach and mentor.

If you cannot watch live a recording of the ceremony will be made available here.
