Truist Leadership Development Program
CON Project Directors: Thompson Forbes, PhD, RN / Alexis Spence, MSN, RN
The Truist Leadership Center aims to empower current and future generations to be leaders in their community. East Carolina University College of Nursing has a long history of producing nurse leaders. Our mission is to train and prepare leaders. The leadership activities funded by the TRUIST Center for Leadership Development support the College of Nursing’s ability to grow, cultivate, and graduate nursing leaders. Our strategies reflect our intentional focus on assessing leadership competencies, designing effective and person-centered leadership strategies, and measuring our program’s impact to enhance the leadership capacity of all ECU College of Nursing graduates. The center supports leadership development projects that foster campus-wide collaboration and positively impact the East Carolina community. The College of Nursing receives funding from the center to advance students’ leadership capacity in our programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
