Welcome to the CEPD Office
The mission of the East Carolina University College of Nursing is to serve as a national model for transforming the health of rural underserved regions through excellence and innovation in nursing education, leadership, research, scholarship, and practice. As such, our culture and engagement mission is to encourage mutual respect through the fostering of a culture that embraces the individuality of all, including our students, faculty, staff, and partners internal and external to our college. Additionally, our professional development mission is to equip our faculty and staff with the resources necessary to meet our mission.
The Office of Culture, Engagement, and Professional Development is here to support our students, faculty, and staff, ensuring that each individual feels supported, heard, respected, and is provided with resources required for the success of our college. Our doors are always open as we strive to provide a safe and brave space for any member of the ECU College of Nursing family, both externally and internally.

The ECU College of Nursing has been recognized as a Best Nursing School for Men in Nursing and the Inclusion and Diversity Excellence Award (IDEA) by the American Assembly for Men in Nursing (AAMN). Both are national honors that are bestowed upon colleges and universities that exhibit an outstanding dedication to ensuring everyone in society has an opportunity to pursue a degree in nursing.
