Clinical Placement

All students pursuing the AGPCNP or FNP concentrations are scheduled for clinical practicums with community-based preceptors located within a 4-hour drive from the student’s home address, whenever possible. Clinical site placement coordinators work with students and clinical sites to ensure appropriate clinical assignments to meet student’s professional and personal learning objectives, DNP Essentials, course objectives, and pre-certification requirements. All students enrolled in clinical practicums must maintain unencumbered registered nurse licensure in North Carolina throughout the DNP Program. Students should be mindful that all clinical placements must be in North Carolina.
