Informational Sessions: The nurse-midwifery program is having virtual informational sessions from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on August 6th 2024, January 21st 2025, and May 13th 2025. The purpose of the Nurse-Midwifery concentration at East Carolina University College of Nursing is to prepare professional nurses as safe and competent practitioners of nurse-midwifery who are eligible for certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
Graduates from this program will earn a Masters in Nursing Science (MSN) degree or a Post Masters Certificate in nurse-midwifery. Upon completion of this program the graduate will be eligible to sit for the American Midwifery Certification Board exam. Upon successful completion of this exam the graduate will be able to use the title “Certified Nurse-Midwife” (CNM). See how you can enroll in our program at East Carolina University.
