Unofficial Transcript Review
The ECU College of Nursing offers assistance to prospective students by completing an unofficial review of a complete set of transcripts. ECU Undergraduate Admissions and the Registrar complete official transcript evaluations and award transfer credit when students apply for admission to ECU.
All prospective students should carefully review information and admission requirements for both ECU Undergraduate Admissions and their respective College of Nursing program.
Prospective students may submit a request for an unofficial review by providing the following documentation:
- Complete the cover sheet, which you can download here.
- Collect a transcript from each college or university that you have attended. We accept unofficial transcripts for this review process. Please note:
- Transfer credit noted on a different institution’s transcript is not sufficient and high school transcripts are not accepted.
- Copies must include institution name, terms attended, course numbers and titles, credit hours, and final grades for evaluation accuracy.
- If you have an international transcript, the transcript should be evaluated by an international education evaluation agency that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. The evaluation should reflect the U.S. equivalency for course titles, course grades, semester hours attempted and passed per course, date course taken, and degree earned. A copy of the report should be sent with your other transcripts and information.
- Email or mail all transcripts and completed cover sheet to the address listed on the cover sheet.
Allow 4-6 weeks for this review once all transcripts are received. At particularly busy times (advising/registration and beginning/ending of a semester), the response time may be extended.
You will receive your evaluation letter stating the results of your review via email. You can use this letter as your tentative checklist as you complete your remaining prerequisite courses. You are encouraged to complete all prerequisite courses as soon as possible and at least within two years from the date of the unofficial review as program requirements are subject to change.
